Campus Safety Plan: Back to SEU

We have many plans in place to keep our campus as safe and healthy as possible this year. Visit SEU.edu/BacktoSEU for details, and email covid@seu.edu with any questions related to campus health and safety. View the official SEU Student Covid-19 Guide here. Note: On your move-in day, you will be tested for COVID-19 at an off-site location prior to check-in. (More details are coming soon.)

Get Fire Ready

The official clearance process of SEU, Fire Ready, is a critical step in your arrival to campus. In order to get a check-in appointment for move-in weekend (January 10–12), you must be Fire Ready. Visit SEU.edu/FireReady for all the specifics, and check your Fire Ready status any time by logging into your JICS student portal.

Returning Students

Welcome back! Whether this is your second semester or your last one before graduation, we’re so glad you’re part of the Fire Family! Here are a few reminders.

Schedule an Advising Appointment with your Faculty Advisor

Schedule a virtual advising meeting with your faculty advisor before registering for classes! Don't know who your faculty advisor is? Find out by watching this video. Please contact your faculty advisor via their SEU email for availability and meeting format. If you are a freshman or junior, an advisor hold has been placed on your account. After you meet with your faculty advisor, the hold will be lifted.

Residential Students

  • Before leaving campus for the semester, make sure you’re Fire Ready, including financial clearance and registering for your classes.
  • If you need to adjust your meal plan, be sure to do so before the fall semester is out.
  • When you check out of your dorm at the end of the fall semester, you’ll turn in your student ID. (Contact your Resident Director with any questions.)
  • When you check back in (by appointment, January 10–12), your ID card will be returned to you.
  • Remember, you can only get a move-in appointment if you’re Fire Ready, so don’t wait! (Appointments will be available soon.)

Commuter Students

  • Before the end of the semester, make sure you’re Fire Ready, including financial clearance and registering for your classes.
  • If you need to adjust your meal plan, be sure to do so before the fall semester is out.
