Hispanic Leadership Center

The Hispanic Leadership Center (HLC) at Southeastern University is committed to the success of our Hispanic students. We exist to encourage and create educational opportunities for Hispanic students, build relationships across our community and fulfill SEU’s mission of equipping students to discover and develop their divine design to serve Christ and the world through Spirit-empowered life, learning and leadership. "The Hispanic Leadership Center has helped mold me into the leader I am today. It's been life-changing, from the strong relationships built to the opportunities I've had to dream big and see God move to make those dreams a reality."

Hispanic Student Life

HLC coordinates our Hispanic student life events, which include HOLA Nights, Tribe Nights, workshops, diversity/leadership conventions and many more. Read below for details about some of these opportunities.

HOLA Nights

Celebrate the Hispanic student diversity on campus at our Latin-inspired multicultural services, which include international evangelists/pastors, bilingual worship and spoken word performances. (HOLA stands for Hour of Latin Awakening.)

HSL Destinations

We are passionate about sending our students on mission trips to Latin American countries to serve and share the Gospel. Our first mission trip in summer 2015, HOLA Cono Sur, included ministering in Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

SEU Worship HOLA

Our Spanish EP from our campus worship team, SEU Worship HOLA, includes five translated songs and has reached about 20 countries across the globe. Auditions for SEU Worship HOLA are held at the beginning of each semester.

Vision Activa

Through a program at SEU called Vision Activa, speakers of other languages learn to speak English, gain their U.S. citizenship, advance their careers through free training and are equipped to assimilate into the U.S. culture.

Tribe Nights

Our students and leaders have the opportunity to get spiritually recharged and connect with the Hispanic student life community during this time of devotion, worship and fellowship.

Study Abroad

Our study abroad trips to Nicaragua and El Salvador are an exciting opportunity for students to improve their Spanish-speaking skills and learn about two vibrant Hispanic cultures. Click here for a complete list of trips offered.

Degrees and Scholarships

There are several academic and financial resources available to Hispanic students at SEU. Wondering if SEU is worth the investment? Click here to learn more.
