Hear from our university president about discovering your divine design.
Welcome Home to SEU
Whether you’re a freshman or are transferring from another university, your first year at Southeastern is an exciting time of making connections on campus and exploring your new college home. Our goal is to help you make the most of your arrival at SEU and begin taking advantage of the opportunities to grow spiritually and succeed academically, all while making lifelong friends.
First Year Experience
Our First Year Experience program helps set first-year students on the path toward discovering their divine design and integrates them into college life and our community. All first-year students are automatically enrolled into the First Year Experience programming. In order to be exempt from the First Year Experience programming, students must meet two requirements: the student is born before August 1, 1999, and is transferring in a minimum of 28 credit hours.
Core Values & CCU
Students start learning these core values in our Christ, Culture and the University (CCU) course, which is required for all incoming freshman.
Academic Excellence – We see the classroom as a sacred space.
Discipleship – We are committed to becoming whole-life followers of Christ and being reformed in His image.
Community – We appreciate our shared values, diversity of thought and connectedness to each other.
Consistency – We strive to be a steady presence in the midst of chaos.
Gracious Living – We value others more than self.
