The Penny Story — #GivingTuesday

Part of our #GivingTuesday story series.

Thanks to influence from her SEU mentors, alumna Kendall (Altmyer) Phillips, ’13 + ’15,  launched The Penny Story, a movement-turned-nationwide nonprofit, which is dedicated to raising awareness of and serving victims of human trafficking. After interning with Christine Caine’s A21 Campaign, Kendall developed a strong passion for bringing awareness and empowering other organizations through the proceeds received from The Penny Story.

“The students, faculty and staff of SEU are the community that rallied around this plan that God showed me. The Penny Story wouldn’t exist…and certainly wouldn’t be what it is today…without SEU.”

Giving Tuesday

It is because of generous partners like you that we can impact the future of our students, who in return impact our community and the world. By giving to Southeastern University and supporting our general scholarship fund, you invest not only in the life of a student at Southeastern but in the future of our communities. In honor of Giving Tuesday, please consider joining us to empower the call in our students’ lives by making a contribution on our Giving page.
