Dr. Aimee Franklin, Assistant Professor of Biology
Dr. Aimee Franklin, an SEU alum with a BS in Biology, has served here at Southeastern as an assistant professor of biology for the past year and a half. Originally from Arkansas, Dr. Franklin grew up in Alabama and earned a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In addition to being able to interact with SEU students each day, she is excited about launching an undergraduate research program that will expose our students to biomedical research. A highlight about SEU for Dr. Franklin is the opportunity for faculty and students to develop close, mentoring relationships. The positive relationships she developed with her professors as an undergraduate student were a key factor in her decision to return to SEU to teach in our College of Natural & Health Sciences.
