SEU Conference 2019

We are looking forward to hosting our eighth SEU Conference from February 11–13 at Family Worship Center in Lakeland. SEU Conference is an annual three-day worship event that features leading pastors from across the country.

Teaming Up

At the start of the 2018–2019 academic year, SEU announced a new pastoral leadership team. The team consists of a campus life pastor, a teaching pastor, and a discipleship and mentoring pastor. Conference is produced by the university’s department of spiritual formation and embodies the positive changes that have taken place on Southeastern’s campus over the past year.

“Having a team of three pastors instead of just one has created a new dynamic for chapels and mentoring students on campus,”  said Campus Life Pastor, Tori Hammer. “This year’s conference will be a picture of that and students will get to hear from a plethora of voices.”

Here and Now

The university expects to fill Family Worship Center with an anticipated 3,000 guests coming from all over the country.

“We are focusing on what God is doing and allowing space and time for the presence of God to move. We’re very expectant and we believe that God is going to do something special,” said Hammer. This focus inspired the the theme for this year’s Conference — Here and Now.

This year’s speaker lineup includes Benny Perez, Julia Veach, Jentezen Franklin, Micahn Carter, and Alex Seeley.

Author and well-known speaker Benny Perez will be returning to SEU Conference this year. He and his wife, Wendy, co-founded The Church LV in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he currently serves as the lead pastor. His ministry extends both nationally and internationally as he ministers at hundreds of conferences and churches every year.

Julia Veach co-pastors Zoe Church in Los Angeles, California, with her husband, Chad, who has also spoken at Conference in prior years. She passionately shares her inspiring story as the mother of a child living with a brain disorder, and she serves as a role model for young Hollywood celebrities.

Jentezen Franklin is the senior pastor of Free Chapel, a multi-campus church based in Gainesville, Georgia. He is also a New York Times best-selling author and televangelist. His weekly television program, Kingdom Connection, is broadcast across major networks all over the world.

Micahn Carter is the lead pastor of Together Church in Yakima, Washington, which consists of three locations and draws thousands of people to their services each week.

Alex Seeley is a pastor and the author of “Tailor Made.” She and her husband, Henry, currently pastor The Belonging Co. in Nashville, Tennessee, reaching over 3,000 attendees weekly as well as online viewers. Seeley previously served as an executive pastor of Planetshaker Ministries.
