A Thousand Generations —SEU Worship Album
SEU Worship has released its debut full-length album under Sony label Provident Entertainment. The album, titled A Thousand Generations, features SEU Worship’s signature style of “prophetic pop.” Lead artists include SEU alumni Dan Rivera, David Ryan Cook, Kenzie Walker, and Sydney Wilson, and the songs were co-written and performed with current SEU students.
SEU Worship recorded this album in Bush Chapel in the fall of 2019 with the goal of blending tradition with modern sound. SEU Worship’s work continues to bring worship music into the pop genre.
One of the most distinctive aspects of SEU Worship is the unique opportunity for students to gain significant experience in all aspects of worship leading while they are still in college. Students learn songwriting, performance, production, and above all, the theological foundation needed to help make a spiritual impact on all who listen to their music.
“A Thousand Generations is a record that feels personal to each of the contributors,” shared Dan Rivera, who also serves as SEU’s worship pastor. “Everyone brought outstanding songs to the table, and each of them came from a profoundly personal and sincere place.”
SEU Worship regularly leads worship during the on-campus chapel services at SEU. The group has previously released six albums independently, and has more than 300,000 digital subscribers, with several songs that have reached more than a million streams.
