SEU Covid-19

We believe that transparency is vital as we navigate this pandemic together. SEU will utilize this dashboard to inform our community about the number of active cases in our SEU student community. The dashboard numbers include residential and commuter students and differentiates between those with positive test results and those with an exposure who are in quarantine. These numbers will be updated periodically throughout the day.

Results are as of Nov. 24, 2020, 1:10 p.m.

Positivity Rate by Student Population

A person who has tested positive with symptoms must isolate for 10 days from symptom onset, be fever-free for 3 days without the use of fever-reducing medication, AND 3 days symptom free. A person who has tested positive but is without symptoms must isolate for 10 days after the date the positive specimen was collected.

Close contacts who have been exposed should quarantine for 14 days after last date of exposure to the positive individual. As per CDC guidelines, we are quarantining only those individuals who have had high-risk exposure contact with a COVID-19 positive person (not roommates of close contacts). Our Contact Tracing Team has been through the Johns Hopkins Contact Tracing program and are following those practices, in addition to working with the county health department when a question arises.

Please note, this information includes the current, active cases that the university has been made aware of.
