State-of-the-Art Rehearsal Hall Officially Opens for Music Programs
Southeastern University’s College of Arts & Media officially opened its new rehearsal hall during a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning.
SEU music students, faculty and staff joined community leaders and supporters of the college for a preview inside the 2,400-square-foot hall that included a performance by the Chamber Singers. Dean Dr. Craig Collins, Chair of the Department of Music Dr. Charles Hulin and Chairman of the Board of the Trustees Rev. Terry Raburn all spoke words of encouragement in describing the process that led to the building’s construction.
Those in the hall then joined hundreds more members of the SEU community and Lakeland outside for the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
As the first building on campus created specifically for music, the rehearsal hall boasts dedicated rehearsal and storage space, as well as state-of-the-art acoustical design provided by the award-winning consulting firm Gary Siebein and Associates Inc.
