Dr. Hinds joined the faculty of Southeastern University in the summer of 2018, with a specific mission of helping develop curricula and teach in the important area of healthcare management within the Jannetides College of Business & Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Dr. Hinds has been in the healthcare field for over forty years, most of which have been in leadership roles, including serving as CEO of two free-standing treatment centers for addictive disease over a 30-year period, creating and implementing best practices in the treatment of opiate addiction, and serving as Vice President of Operations of a regional employee assistance program. He earned his doctorate in business administration in 2005, focusing his doctoral research on Transformational Leadership in healthcare settings, and went on to develop and teach the healthcare administration concentration in the MBA program of the University of North Alabama. Dr. Hinds has been published in several business journals, is an active Rotarian, and is a former president of the Florida School of Addictions Studies.

Bob and his wife, Sonja, relocated from Huntsville, AL to Lakeland in 2017 to be closer to family, including daughters and grandchildren in Sarasota and Gainesville, and siblings in Lakeland. In his free time Bob can almost certainly be found with one of his acoustic guitars in hand, or absorbed in something having to do with baseball.
