Dr. Marcia Brevard Wynn is a native of Camden, South Carolina. She first joined Southeastern University in 2010 as an online adjunct professor in the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences and then came on board as a full-time assistant professor in July 2014. She is the proud mother of twin sons who proudly serve in the U.S. Navy and a daughter who is a student at Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Prior to coming to Southeastern, Dr. Wynn worked in several capacities. From 2005 to 2010, she worked as the director of sponsored programs at Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, she successfully secured more than $22 million in grant funds to support not only various academic programs but also the renovation of several historic buildings on the campus. She also worked for Providence Hospitals Development Foundation from 2012 to 2014, a role in which she secured more than $1 million. In addition to teaching at Southeastern University, Dr. Wynn also teaches several online courses for the University of Phoenix and Ashford University.
Dr. Wynn enjoys teaching in a Christian environment because it affords her the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of her students and connect with them through the sharing of prayers and personal testimonies. She enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, exercising and spending quality time with her family and friends.
