Latroi Andrews is a Florida native, born in Sebring. She is the noble wife to one remarkable man since 2004, James, and the mother to five awesome boys. Andrews and her family currently serve at Upper Room Church of God where her husband is the senior pastor. As a devoted Christian, Andrews recognized and answered the call of God to teach.
Mrs. Andrews received her bachelor’s degree from University of South Florida and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. She is a Florida educator certified in ESE and has an endorsement in ESOL. Andrews is dedicated to engaging and relevant teaching as a means of creating and nurturing a lifelong love of knowledge in all students. Her passion for education is recognized, as she was named 2015 Rookie Teacher of the Year and was a 2017 nominee for the Black History Month Educator Award. She is excitedly in pursuit of her doctoral degree in Southeastern’s Doctor of Education program to enhance her educational career. Mrs. Andrews is an advocate for celebrating diversity and believes it is necessary to accommodate all students … with the belief that everyone can learn.
