Dr. Kristine Spinks first started working with Southeastern University in 2004 as part of the Department of Continuing and Adult Education (DCAE) as well as a psychology adjunct instructor in the evening program. She has also worked as an online course developer for SEU in both the areas of psychology and human services over the past 13 years, developing most of the online psychology courses for the current online Bachelor’s program. In fall of 2019, Dr. Spinks was able to join the school full-time as an Associate Professor as well as the Chair of Behavioral and Social Sciences in the College of Unrestricted Education.

Prior to teaching full-time for SEU, Dr. Spinks worked as the Psychology and Criminal Justice Program chair and adjunct instructor at local universities.  Of all the schools she has taught at over the past 15 years, her favorite by far has been SEU because it allows her to combine her love for God with her passion for psychology. Dr. Spinks enjoys both course design and teaching in all areas of psychology. She especially loves to be able to guide and mentor both students and new instructors as they work in the online environment.

Dr. Spinks and her husband have been married for 25 years and they have one daughter. When she is not working Dr. Spinks loves spending time with her loved ones and pets and watching a good movie.
