Master of Social Work (MSW), Florida State University
Erika Cuffy is an alumnus of Southeastern University and is excited to be teaching at the university that sparked her initial love for the profession of social work. Prior to joining Southeastern University, Professor Cuffy served as a Regional School Social Worker for Polk County Public Schools where she provided individual and group counseling to middle school students.
Professor Cuffy also had the privilege of working for Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and One More Child as both an Anti-Trafficking Advocate and Adoption Specialist. As an advocate, she worked with high-risk survivors of human trafficking in over six counties of Florida. As an adoption specialist, she had the honor of witnessing families become complete through the process of adoption. Prior to serving on the faculty, Professor Cuffy was a community member of the Southeastern University Social Work Advisory Council where she realized her passion for educating the next generation of social workers.
Professor Cuffy teaches undergraduate courses including Field Experience and Seminar, Prep for Field, Social Welfare Policy, Introduction to Social Work, and Human Trafficking.
