Professor Cedrick Valrie is from Mobile, Alabama, and met his wife while as a student at Southeastern University. He has served as an associate pastor for seven years and has been involved as an inner-city youth worker and mentor. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, and he and his wife serve as associate pastors at a church plant in Tampa, Florida.

Professor Valrie is in his final year of pursuing his doctorate in the area of leadership and global perspectives from George Fox University. His present research interests are urban education and urban ministry. He takes pleasure in helping students acquire practical life skills as they engage academically.

Currently, he teaches the following courses at SEU: Christ, Culture & the University; Old Testament Survey; New Testament Survey; Organizational Behavior & Leadership Styles; and Multiple Staff Ministry.
