Steps to Enrollment - Online Programs

  1. Submit your online application to the Admission Office

  2. Begin the financial aid and payment planning process

  3. Register for classes

  4. Activate your Southeastern network login account

  5. Use your SEU ID and password to access SEU systems

  1. Submit your online application to the Admission Office.
Once Southeastern’s admission office receives your application, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that your file is being reviewed. You can expect to know your admission status within the business days of the date your file is completed (your transcripts, writing sample, resume, recommendations, and test scores have been received). Please see the Enrollment Checklist for more help with completing the online application.

  2. Begin the financial aid and payment planning process

File FAFSA: Complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov and include Southeastern University's school code on the application: 001521. The Southeastern priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA is April 15 (for fall semester). Southeastern also requires the Student Information Sheet (SIS) be completed for financial aid consideration. Upon receipt of your FAFSA information, you will receive an e-mail from the Student Financial Services office at the e-mail account you put on your FAFSA. The important e-mail will provide you with login instructions to a Web portal where you can track your financial aid status and missing items.

Submit $200 enrollment confirmation deposit: If you are admitted, you will receive an enrollment packet in the mail. If you choose to select Southeastern's offer of admission, you must then submit the $200 enrollment confirmation deposit and completed enrollment confirmation form. This deposit, to your student account, guarantees your spot with the entering class and is especially important due to Southeastern's rapid growth. The $200 deposit, enrollment confirmation form, and health forms must be completed and returned to SEU in order for you to register for classes.

Pay for classes: Payment may be made in cash, by check, credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover), approved financial aid grants, approved scholarships, or a combination of these. Grants and scholarships may help you receive the discount if the grants or scholarships are available to be applied to the account at the time of registration. If payment cannot be made in full, the Southeastern University payment plan must be used to assist students in completing the financial registration process. Click here for more detailed financial aid information.

  3. Register for classes
Once your completed admissions file has been processed by the Office of the Registrar, an e-mail with registration instructions will be sent to you. The e-mail will contain your student ID number and password, which you'll need to access Southeastern's Student Information System, the Web-based system that enables you to register for classes. The letter also will include information to help you log into the Student Information System, select classes, and print your class schedule. The date that you will be able to register for classes also will be included in the e-mail.

  4. Southeastern network login account
Once you register for a class, your Southeastern network login account will automatically be created. This network login account gives you access to your personal Southeastern e-mail account, your Blackboard (online learning system) account, and MySEU, Southeastern's student Intranet. To activate your network login browse to Southeastern's self-help system at https://psync.seuniversity.edu.
    • You will be asked for your network login ID – this is your user ID for three Southeastern University systems. It is set by default: your first initial, middle initial, and last name (all together, lowercase).

Example: John K. Smith = jksmithNote: There is a rare chance that this default network login ID is taken and thus unavailable. In this instance you should contact the Information Technology Help Desk at helpdesk@seu.edu or (863) 667-5028. You will become aware of your inability to use your default network login ID when you try to activate your account to our systems.

    • In our self-help system, you will be asked questions drawn from your Southeastern University application to confirm your identity. Then you will be asked to reset your password. You’re account will then be activated.

  5. You will have access to three university systems:
    1. MySEU – Southeastern’s student Intranet gives you quick answers to common questions. At the top right corner you will see links to important systems to assist you with your online education. It also features devotionals, campus news, contact information for campus offices, and much more! https://myseu.seuniversity.edu/
    2. Blackboard - Your portal to virtual classrooms at Southeastern! Chat online with professors and classmates. Submit assignments and take tests. https://blackboard.seuniversity.edu/
    3. Web e-mail – The official communication tool for all students. https://webmail.seuniversity.edu/

A simple way to remember how to access all the Southeastern software systems you will use is to start from the Current Students link on the SEU home page.
