Chief Technology Officer

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and provides leadership, vision, oversight, planning, and management for all aspects of academic and administrative technology. As the senior technology officer, the CTO is an advocate for the development and use of information technology in instruction and administrative services. The CTO develops plans and budgets for the campus's information technology infrastructure, administrative technology, instructional technology and telecommunications. The position has oversight of a diverse staff in the implementation of new technologies and ensuring existing systems are well supported. The CTO will lead the definition of overall technology architecture standards and services for the University in the context of a comprehensive strategic plan for information technology systems and services at the University.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with an open and collaborative style of leadership that fosters teamwork, sustains a learning environment for staff, and develops a first-class service organization that engenders trust from the University community. This position requires a thorough knowledge of strategic planning and project management. Experience in and knowledge of technologies used in a university setting are key attributes. Candidates must be able to lead and manage a diverse group of technical and non-technical staff to execute initiatives in support of the strategic institutional goals. Strong communication skills in oral and written formats are necessary to communicate plans and understand the needs of internal and external groups.

Criteria:
1. Bachelors Degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Information Systems, Business Management, or related field
2. 8 - 10 years of information technology experience preferably in higher education
3. Substantial experience leading major network and data center technology organizations and projects

Clerk II: Circulation


The Circulation Clerk reports to the Head of Circulation. A high school degree or equivalent is required; college degree preferred. One year of successful work in a library is highly desirable. Computer skills including Microsoft Office necessary; must enjoy doing detailed work; ability to work among distractions necessary; good typing skills necessary. Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Work shift is 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m. Mon-Thurs; 12 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Fridays & summers.

Position supervises circulation desk routines and works with other circulation staff to carry out circulation policies and procedures. This position is responsible for closing the library and may be the only adult staff in the library. As such, there will be responsibility for maintaining the quiet study atmosphere and for providing excellent customer service to all patrons. Additional responsibilities are supervision and training of student workers during the shift; may include such tasks as interlibrary loan functions, student fines, inventory, and other circulation desk functions. Individual must be able to handle multiple tasks and multiple deadlines.


Director of Campus Counseling Services

Southeastern University, a Christ-centered liberal arts university, seeks a qualified and experienced mental health professional to serve as the Director of Campus Counseling Services. This individual reports directly to the Dean of Student Services.

The Director:

  • serves the University by providing creative leadership and strategic direction to the Counseling/Consultation Service and those engaged in providing services for its consumers;

  • serves as a consultant to the staff that provides supportive services to students in living situations on and off campus as it regards emotional and behavioral issues;

  • provides direct site supervision of graduate counseling interns to insure adherence to appropriate professional, ethical, legal and accreditation standards for professional counselors in training; works with leaders of programs for incoming students in utilizing services;

  • coordinates referrals to appropriately selected local mental health and human services professionals and agencies;

  • provides direct counseling and consultation services within the university community.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Counseling or counseling-related field minimal; Doctoral degree in Counselor Education or Psychology preferred.

  2. Licensure or licensure eligible in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Psychologist

  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional counseling setting; significant prior experience in a college/university setting preferred.

  4. Maintenance of professional liability insurance at coverage levels consistent with norms for licensure status

  5. Self-motivation and discipline to regularly set and achieve large goals

  6. Interpersonal and networking skills with large groups and individuals.

  7. Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances

  8. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills



Housekeeper

The Housekeeper reports to the Custodial Supervisor. M-F, 8-4:30 p.m. High school diploma/GED is required. Applicant must have general housekeeping experience. Position maintains a clean and healthy environment keeping it sanitary and orderly. Position demands good physical and mental aptitude. The housekeeper will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, and pull. He/she must be able to move continuously during work hours and must be able to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds. Also, must be able to work within dusty conditions.


Theatre Technical Director - PT

The Theatre Technical Director reports to the Chair of Communication Department. Duties will include build from designs, manage shop logistics, oversee construction of major projects, scheduling, and teach basic shop related techniques. Position is part-time, 20 hrs/wk. July 2nd start date.

Criteria:
-High school degree required, college preferred (will consider experience).
-Strong knowledge of scenic construction
-Strong knowledge of painting techniques
-Rigging, lighting, and metalworking experience beneficial
-Good interpersonal skills
-Collaborative personality
-Past theatrical production and shop experience with a proven ability to manage projects and people
-Concerned with organization, accuracy and neatness of work
-Drafting (some experience)-working plans, cut lists etc.

Graduate Assistant Campus Activities
The Campus Activities Graduate Assistant reports to the Director of Campus Activities. The GA must be enrolled as a student in the Southeastern University Master's Program. The GA is responsible for providing mentorship, training, assistance, and guidance to the Student Body Leadership Council. The GA will help with the planning and execution of Student Life leadership retreats, Welcome Week, and Spring 5 events. The GA will also work in conjunction with Commuter Life and SBLC to create unity between the two teams and will be responsible for assisting the Activities Director with various projects and tasks.

Experience Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree earned
-Enrollment in master's program at Southeastern University
-Knowledge of student life and student leadership programs
Preferred Skills:
-Leadership experience (preferably a student leader) 6 months to 1 year
-Ability to lead and start new programs/systems
-Work independently, set and meet own deadlines without supervision

Graduate Assistant Health & Wellness
The Health & Wellness GRA reports to the Director of Campus Activities. The GA must be enrolled as a student in the Southeastern University Master's Program. The GA will oversee the Student Activities Center and its employees by coordinating wellness initiatives for the student body in the Student Activities Center. Job duties for the position would include, but not limited to, providing oversight and direct supervision to employees according to university standards. Other duties are create health & wellness classes throughout the year and build awareness among the university community, partner with intramural sports each semester, managing the calendar system for reservations, and oversee the Student Activities area during major events.

Qualifications:
-Supervisor experience - 6 months to 1 year
-BA degree required
