ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER

Southeastern University is a Christian institution seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. The mission of SEU Athletics is: To develop Southeastern athletes holistically: physically, academically, and spiritually. POSITION SUMMARY:

The selected applicant will be expected to assist with daily management of the football team. He/she will report directly to both the Associate Athletic Trainer and Head Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities including rehab, treatment, assessment, injury prevention, and game coverage will be shared between the two full-time ATC's assigned to football. Travel to all football games will be required.

HEALTH & COUNSELING SERVICES ASSISTANT

The Health & Counseling Services Assistant reports to the Director of Student Services and assists in administering the Health & Counseling programs by ensuring that all student medical and counseling records are maintained, managing and allocating all purchases (weekly & monthly), assists with scheduling of all Counseling & Health Services appointments, as well as all other administrative aspects of the Health & Counseling offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)

  1. Answer all incoming phone calls, process incoming and outgoing mail, and serve as the general office manager for all Health & Counseling Services.
  2. Assist in typing any documents created by Health & Counseling Services.
  3. Assist the Health & Counseling Services team in completing and processing special projects assigned by the Student Services department.
  4. Maintain office sign-in sheet and create daily statistic charts.
  5. Pull all health and counseling files for Campus Nurse and/or counseling personnel.
  6. Complete all purchasing for the Health & Counseling Services office (i.e. medical supplies, office supplies, etc.) while working with the Campus Nurse and the Director of Counseling.
  7. Oversee all service contract relationships (payments, contracts, & fulfillment of services).
  8. Oversee all Health & Counseling Services shredding & electronic archiving of outdated records/files.
  9. Manage all medical record files including but not limited to health form/immunization compliance in accordance with state laws.
  10. Assist in maintaining all counseling records/files.
  11. Log/manage medical records into Jenzabar.
  12. Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
  13. Notarize necessary Health & Counseling Services forms (obtain a notary commission if necessary).
  14. Oversee all Health & Counseling Services statistics (daily traffic, end of semester satisfaction surveys, daily satisfaction surveys, etc.).
  15. Oversee and maintain the Health Services & Counseling Services website pages within MySEU, SFNet, & the main SEU website.

Scheduling:
  1. Coordinate interns' schedule in master calendar (when applicable).
  2. Schedule all counseling appointments.
  3. Coordinate student worker(s) schedules.
  4. Assist in scheduling students to see local physicians.
Insurance:
  1. Assist in collaboration between SEU and United Healthcare regarding voluntary student health insurance (website, promotional material, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with medical records
  • Familiarity with health insurance process and procedures

HOUSING COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housing Coordinator serves as an integral member of the Residence Life team. The Housing Coordinator implements the Residence Life Mission through the oversight of the living environment for on-campus residence. Reporting directly to the Director of Residence Life, the management of housing includes room inspections, housing-chart updates and posting, and sign-ups for housing in the fall and spring semesters.

LIBRARY PART TIME CIRCULATION CLERK WEEKEND

NORMAL WORK HOURS: Saturday 12pm-8:30pm, Sun - 1pm-11pm

REPORTS TO: HEAD OF CIRCULATION

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises the library and Circulation Desk operations during hours when other Library staff are not at work (generally Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday). Opens and/or closes the library. Supervises 2-4 student workers. Works with Head of Circulation in carrying out circulation routines.


ESSENTIAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:
(OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)

  1. Supervises student assistants at circulation desk during time on duty;
  2. Plans and arranges other duties for student workers based on that day or week's needs;
  3. Works with Head of Circulation to insure that the desk's daily routines are maintained, including opening & closing routines; great customer service;
  4. Works at Circulation desk doing routine circulation activities as needed;
  5. Communicates at end of shift with the Head of Circulation;
  6. Helps keep statistics as needed for areas of responsibility and turns them in regularly to the Head of Circulation;
  7. Maintains a quiet study atmosphere in the library during assigned hours; and aids with patrons satisfaction within library;
  8. Able to handle simple problems as part-time Head of Circulation;
  9. May be assigned special projects by the Head of Circulation such as but not limited to: inter-library loans, course reserves, student fines and accounts, syllabus repository, and training student workers;
  10. Assists with communicating through email with professors as well as with students in regards to but not limited to: fines, reserves, graduation emails and overdue notices;
  11. Performs other duties as needed.

Complexity of duties:
Duties involve moderately complex assignments with knowledge of Microsoft programs.

Mental & Visual demand:
Must be able to show that any physical handicap will not hinder ability to carry out job requirements.
Occasional lifting of up to twenty pounds may be required.

SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sports Information Director assists in the maintaining of a professional sports information department at the direction of the Director of Athletics for the thirteen Southeastern varsity sports. Job responsibilities include preparation of all printed materials, managing an up-to-date athletic website, maintaining an organized filing system, hiring and training a team of writers, scheduling press conferences, attending various conventions, taking charge of the campus online broadcasting of athletic events, communicating with local media and appropriate associations, and gathering and storing quality athletic photographs for various uses.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION PROGRAMMER

  • Integrate MS SQL data to 3rd party programs
  • Design and administer the data and technical architecture for a data warehouse, including ETL scripts and procedures, metadata definitions and models, and other scheduled processes

TELECOUNSELING SUPERVISOR / CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

REPORTS TO: SOUTHEASTERN CENTRAL COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY

The Telecounseling Supervisor/Customer Service Representative position is responsible for providing quality customer service to customers by providing level-one information to customers which includes basic financial aid, student account, housing, and admission data; transferring (handing off) calls to appropriate person or department and following up to ensure calls are returned; and directing customer to information on the university website. Weekends and evening hours are required. This individual also supervises the telecounseling program which involves a team of student workers who work in the evening hours contacting prospective students by telephone.

The position requires afternoon and evening hours, 12:00 - 8:30 PM to work with the student workers during their 3:30 - 8:30 PM schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Telecounseling Program

  1. Responsible for the supervision of the student telecounseling program.
  2. Recruit, select, train, and assist student workers with the identification and follow-up of top admission prospects.
  3. Ensure that prospects, applicants, and accepted students receive consistent telephone follow-up.
  4. Provide consistent telecounseling reports to the Coordinator of Southeastern Central, Assistant Director, and Director of Admission.
  5. Perform other duties as requested and able.

Customer Service

  1. Maintain a positive image and positive relationship with others at all times.
  2. Answer calls in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure calls are handled properly.
  4. Provide information to customers by verifying understanding of request, answering questions, and offering assistance.
  5. Maintain call tracking to ensure other departments are returning calls.
  6. Improve quality results by evaluating processes and recommending changes.
  7. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  8. Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the role of a Southeastern Central Coordinator.
