Reading continues to be one of the most important, if not THE most important, subjects taught in school. The earlier and better a student can read, the more they can take advantage of opportunities and be prepared to excel in the classroom.
We need teachers who are trained in this important skill to nurture and develop the reading habits of our students from elementary school through high school. Southeastern's MEd in Reading Education prepares you to do just that.
Courses in this 36-hour program are offered in an eight-week online delivery format. The online format better allows you the ability to advance your education while maintaining your current career and family life. While the various programs are in-depth and rigorous, the flexibility of the online delivery format allows you to schedule your studies around your life.
- This program is ideal for the teacher desiring to advance his/her effectiveness, knowledge, and advanced employability.
- It is an outstanding educational degree for those desiring a stepping stone to a doctoral degree.
- The program can be completed in as little as four consecutive semesters, though you are allowed to go at a slower, more manageable pace depending upon your current career situation.
