The primary mission of the library is to provide materials necessary to support the academic and related educational programs offered by Southeastern University. The library is pivotal to the teaching and learning process of the institution, and the intellectual development of its students. Specifically, the library is responsible for the acquisition and maintenance of materials that adequately supplement both the business and the liberal arts curriculums. Additionally, the library is responsible for supporting the research endeavors of students and faculty and the community at large.
The mission of the library is achieved through:
1. Using state-of-the-art computerized information systems and a sound program to acquire, catalog and access books, periodicals, and other materials.
2. Developing and disseminating information to students and faculty on library collections and available services.
3. Training and assisting students and faculty on how to request, access and utilize library materials and services.
4. Coordinating the purchase and acquisition of materials with faculty and academic administrators.
5. Encouraging students to continue their skill development and a formal educational process beyond the required curriculum by using library materials for their own edification, enjoyment, and satisfaction.
