Form 8843
Each international student in the United States on an F or J visa, must fill this form out and send to the INS. This form must be filled out even if the student did not earn any money. Each individual must fill out the 8843, even dependents (spouses and children). To download this form, click here.
Form 8233
This form is used in order to qualify for a tax treaty. You must fill this form out and return it to your employer before you can qualify for a tax treaty. To see if a country qualifies for a tax treaty, please look at Publication 901 "US Tax Treaties." To download this form, click here.
Form 1040 NR-EZ
This form is for non-residents of the United States, and is used to file your taxes if you earned little income and do not have any dependents. To download this form, click here.

Publication 901 "US Tax Treaties"
This form lists all of the countries that have tax treaties with the United States. To download this form, click here.

Every person who files taxes must have an identification number. This is usually a social security number. If you do not have a social security number, you must request an ITIN number from the INS. This form is used to request that number. You must send certified copies of what they request in order to get an ITIN. To download this form, click here.
Form 1040, 1040 A, 1040 EZ
If you qualify as a resident for Tax purposes, you must fill out either the 1040, 1040 A, or 1040 EZ, depending on income and dependents. Please visit the IRS website for more information about these forms.
1042 S
A statement of any scholarship or income eligible for tax treaty benefits. You should get this form in the mail.
W-2
A statement of your earned wages, that should have been sent to you by your employer, if you worked.
1099
A statement of interest earned, that should have been sent to you by your bank, if you have a bank account in the U.S.
