Academic Enrichment Program

Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) is intended to assist students who encounter academic difficulty. The elements of AEP are registration approvals by an advisor, course load limits, tutor referrals, and implementation of study skills strategies. The table below describes the criteria by which a person is assigned an academic standing within the AEP and what the consequences of each standing are:

Scholastic Discipline Levels: Criteria and Consequences

1. Warning-Results when a student's cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 for the first time. .Consequences: Student receives letter outlining the (AEP) Academic Enrichment Program.

2. Supervision-Results when a student is on warning and their term GPA is less than a 2.0 Consequences: Registration must be approved by an Academic Advisor. No credit overloads permitted at this stage.

3. Probation-Results when a student is on supervision and their term GPA is less than 2.0. Consequences: Same as above.

4. Academic Dismissal-May occur after two terms of probationary status in which the student has not earned a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
