Biography

Professor Griner studied Broadcasting at Southeastern University. Before her final semester at SEU, she was hired to work as a production assistant at WTGL TV 52 in Orlando, Florida, where she was able to quickly put into practice her editing and videography skills. While at TV 52, Griner focused her attention on live television production and developed a passion for producing. In 2001, she came back to SEU as the TV Studio Manager, blending her love for producing with her passion to work with students. In 2005, Griner took a position with Media Services at Southeastern as the Media Services Producer, where she worked closely with the Office of Admission and the Office of the President on various promotional videos. In 2007, she began her graduate studies and took on the role of Executive Producer of R.A.W. TV (Real and Willing Television), a student-produced television show that airs nationally on DirecTV on the NRB Network, TCT Network, and the Christian Satellite Company, SkyAngel.

In 2009, Griner completed her graduate studies at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and began teaching full-time at Southeastern as Assistant Professor of Communication. As a faculty member, Griner finds great joy in helping to develop broadcast professionals who are passionate about making a difference in media. Her goal is to send out students who stand out in the broadcast industry and are able to make a positive impact on media and television.

Griner teaches the following courses at Southeastern: Introduction to Television, Advanced Television, and Directing for Television, Electronic Field Production, and R.A.W. TV. Aside from her teaching responsibilities, Griner also oversees the Fire Network - the on-campus station - and the following student productions: R.A.W. TV, Unpland TV, 96 News, Chapel Production, and Weekly Update.
