Biography
Leroy VanWhy came to Southeastern in 2006 after serving two years on the mission field in the Republic of the Philippines, where he worked with a feeding program for indigent children. Initially hired on staff as an Admission Counselor, he was promoted to various positions until becoming the Associate Director of Admission. While in that position, he also attended school full-time to complete his MBA at Southeastern. VanWhy is now enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Organizational Leadership with Regent University.

VanWhy has also graduated from many Navy and Army leadership schools, including Officer Candidate School; Leadership, Management, Education, and Training; and the Army Officer Basic course. Additionally, VanWhy holds ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God denomination.

VanWhy has traveled and/or lived in 11 countries, fulfilling various roles such as the communication coordinator of missions work to indigent children, Navy nuclear missile technician, Army engineer officer, etc., and therefore is well-equipped to teach at Southeastern with a global cross-cultural perspective.

Prof. VanWhy teaches the following courses at Southeastern: Introduction to Business and Principles of Management. His academic interests are in the areas of organizational leadership and personal and business ethics.
