Biography
Mr. Bryant studied drama at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, before transferring to Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, where he received a bachelor's in Vocal Performance.
Bryant completed his graduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he performed several leading tenor roles with the NEC/BC opera under the direction of Mr. John Moriarty. He received his master's in Vocal Performance from NEC with a concentration in opera. While studying at NEC, Bryant was the tenor soloist and section leader at historic Tremont Temple Baptist Church in downtown Boston and later at historic Park Street Church on the Boston Commons.
Since moving to Florida, Bryant has been a member of the Walt Disney World Voices of Liberty, apprenticed with the Orlando Opera and was a resident artist with the Central Florida Lyric Opera for several years.
Bryant worked as an adjunct voice instructor at Gordon College, at both the Cocoa and Melbourne campuses of the Brevard Community College, at Seminole Community College, and at Valencia Community College in Orlando prior to coming to Southeastern. At Southeastern, Bryant is the Voice Department Coordinator and the Artistic and Stage Director for the Southeastern Music Department Lyric Theatre productions. He is currently a member of the Tampa Bay chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). |
