Biography
David Revell brings with him to his alma mater a wealth of experience both in education and in ministry. Though he started his college career in physics at Texas A&I, Revell finished it as a ministry student at Southeastern, afterwards serving pastorates in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida while also serving several stints as a science, math, and/or Bible teacher in Christian and public schools. He served as a principal for Evangel Christian School here in Lakeland and then developed the Christian Training Center for Carpenter's Home Church. His continuing education includes over 18 hours of graduate work in math and 21 hours in education, with additional graduate work in counseling, particularly crisis counseling. Revell plans to finish his MS in math education, then possibly to earn an EdD in community counseling.

Revell loves short-term missions, participating in trips to Nicaragua, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Russia, and South Africa. During the latter, he spent a month teaching pastoral counseling to African church leaders and preaching nightly rallies. Closer to home, Pastor Revell has presented numerous times to the Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) and loves to minister at Teen Challenge and similar ministries. For FLOCS, he has presented on race, missions, and effects of poverty in the classroom, as well as on the transition from science in the Christian school to science in the college classroom.

Revell teaches the following classes at Southeastern: Beginning and Intermediate Algebra, Liberal Arts Math, College Algebra, and History and Theology of Evangelism. His research interests are in crisis counseling and in the best educational and counseling approaches to impoverished students and communities.
