Biography

Dr. Berhane Ghaim believes his coming to Southeastern is a call to service, and he is delighted to serve his students and his discipline by bringing them together. Dr. Ghaim was born and raised up in Eritrea, Africa and was educated in Eritrea, Ethiopia, and the United States. He has experience teaching just about every undergraduate course in mathematics as a graduate teaching assistant at Kent State and as a former full time faculty member at Baldwin-Wallace College.

 

Dr. Ghaim has refereed publications for the Journal of Mathematical Analysis and its Applications;Quaestiones Mathematicae, Journal of the South African Mathematical Society; and Pentagon, the official journal of the Kappa Mu Epsilon national mathematics honor society. He has also published several refereed articles in mathematical analysis himself.

 

Dr. Ghaim teaches mathematics courses at all levels. His research interests are in functional analysis, measure theory, and operator theory. He is a member of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the American Mathematical Society (AMS), and the Kappa Mu Epsilon national mathematics honor society.
