Bachelor of Science in Youth/Family Ministries

You loved your youth group or volunteered in the children’s ministry at your church, and now you want the opportunity to build and lead a ministry like that for your career. This degree will give you the biblical and theological foundations you will need to lead students to a mature faith as well as practical experience that will prepare you to be an effective minister from day one of your career.

The Why

Southeastern has trained ministry leaders since our founding in 1935. Our passion is to see new leaders in the church encouraged and trained on our campus, and we have a proud track record. This benefits new students, who can use our vast network of ministry graduates as a resource for finding their first jobs or for simply gathering wisdom from ministers who have been in the field for years. We also have strong partnerships with local churches in Lakeland and central Florida, which will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

Another benefit of our program is the Jerusalem Studies summer session, which allows you to study during one summer in Jerusalem. This experience brings the Bible to life and enriches your understanding of scripture as you share it with others.
