Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design

Image is everything in a media-saturated culture. Businesses, nonprofits, and even churches need to stand out, and strong graphic design is one of the best ways to do so. Our graphic design program gives you the knowledge and skills you need to excel in this competitive field.

Our students use programs such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create and design media while using other popular software programs to learn how to code websites, write for social media, and produce professional photographs. We train graduates who will engage the culture through stunning and compelling visual communications.

The Why

What separates Southeastern’s graphic design program from other schools? Here are a few reasons to choose SEU:

  • Our professors have extensive experience in newspapers, magazines, news media, and advertising firms.
  • You can help to design the student newspaper and numerous other on-campus publications and media.
  • We pride ourselves in placing students in quality internships that provide more hands-on training and networking opportunities.
  • We help you to integrate your faith into your profession; we believe that human beings are made in the image of God, so we are co-creators of culture.

The How

Graphic design students take 27 credit hours in their major core, including courses such as Layout and Design, Advanced Digital Imaging, and Web Page Design. In addition to your design core, your studies will include religion core courses (18 hours) and communication studies core courses (15 hours), as well as general education courses and electives.
