MBA, Southeastern University
Professor Jennifer Stukey serves Southeastern University as an assistant professor of business management. She first joined the SEU faculty in 2008 as an adjunct professor and quickly discovered a passion for Christian education.
While attending SEU as a student, Professor Stukey volunteered at her local church, where she spent many hours learning how volunteers integrate into a major organization as well as some of the financial concepts for good company financial management. Her professional career started at Big Brothers Big Sisters, where, as a mentor manager, she managed several hundred volunteer matches throughout her tenure with the organization. She also helped to manage her husband’s audio and video technologies consulting business, where the primary clients were churches and other ministry organizations. These professional experiences, coupled with her own extensive volunteer service, cultivated a strong desire to help nonprofit organizations better understand volunteerism.
Professor Stukey brings to Southeastern an applied and theoretical knowledge of both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, as well as how those two worlds integrate — or occasionally collide. Her goal is to empower students to become more effective, ethical leaders within any organization that God calls them to serve.
Professor Stukey currently teaches Business Communication, Data Management and Analysis, and Non-Profit Management. Her primary research interests include volunteer management and retention as well as financial stability in nonprofit organizations.
